Khalsa College
Khalsa College (KC) is a Saturday Morning school at Gurdwara Guru Nanak Parkash with the objective of teaching the youth Sikh history and how to implement Sikh values into daily life. There are 4 classes taught by DBS checked teachers.
KC Juniors (Year 2 and below)
KC Primary (Year 3 – Year 6)
KC Secondary (Y7 – Y9)
KC Seniors (Y10+)
All classes are taught predominantly in English, with aspects of Punjabi and Gurmukhi where appropriate.
“The aim of Education at GGNP is to instill the values of humility, confidence and leadership in the youth, so that they can flourish into valuable members of the Sangat for the betterment of the whole community. The school is run entirely by volunteers as seva (selfless services).”
Students are given the opportunity to practice presentation skills during Sunday Divaan assemblies on the Main Stage in front of all the sangat and encouraged to help out with Gurdwara events such as Vasakhi, Gurpurabs and Camps. Students at KC also go on trips together to enhance team spirit and camaraderie.
